We saw this big brown bear on a float trip in SW Alaska. He was crossing the river right towards us, until he got so close he was about to disappear beneath the grassy riverbank right in front of us. Look at his chewed up ears!

When we yelled at him, he just slowly turned around, waded the river and climbed the bank.

As I listened to this tape, we were talking about how big he was, but not as big as the one that was eating the moose the day before!
